what we collect
when you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. we also store your assigned callsign. that's it.
voice data
all voice communication is peer-to-peer. your audio travels directly between you and the other people on your frequency. it does not pass through squelch servers, and we do not record, store, or have access to any voice data.
signaling data
to establish peer-to-peer connections, squelch temporarily exchanges short-lived connection metadata (offers, answers, and connectivity candidates). these are not voice content and are cleaned up automatically.
presence
when you're on a frequency, your callsign is visible to others on the same frequency. when you leave, your presence is removed.
cookies and local storage
squelch stores your authentication session and theme preference in your browser's local storage. we do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
third-party services
squelch uses third-party services for authentication, connectivity checks, and relay fallback when direct connections aren't possible. no data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
